Yes! My blog is messed up. Grrr

So, I thought I would try to update my blog and now I’ve really messed things up.  Please be patient with me while I figure out what the heck I did wrong.  Customer support is not available until tomorrow.:(

Sweet Dreams Baby Girl

Scarlett fell asleep on the way home last night so I plunked her down on the couch while I got the kids dinner and then bath and then bed for them.  She stayed here sleeping the entire time, worn out from her first swim of the year.

What IS that purple thingy in her hair, you ask?  Why, that is a little hair feather do-dad.  Not that she needed anything extra to add to her already over the top cuteness.  But our friend who owns the Thousand Oaks Beauty Collection offered them to the girls as a gift, and who can say NO to that?

45 days

With the realization that there are only 45 days until school is out, I’m trying not to panic.  Routines are not my thing.  About the only thing routine in my life is the lack of a routine.  Unless you consider that every single day we wake up and go to sleep and eat and play and play and eat in between the waking and sleeping.  The nice thing about school is that it puts just a little bit of routine in our days and my daughter really seems to like that.  She is a ball of energy and needs to be constantly busy or she will be into more mischief then Max from Where the Wild Things Are.

This photo clearly shows the attitude that they each present me with on any given day.  Perhaps I can avoid these lovely attitudes by having an array of activities each and every day so they don’t have time to get cranky.  It could happen, ya never know!  ;)

What are YOU going to be doing with your kids this summer?  I thought, briefly, about putting my 5 and 6 year olds in a summer camp from 9-noon 3 days a week. Then I decided that summer is so short that I should make it an extra special time with lots of fun activities for all 3 kiddos.  Savannah will be going into 1st grade in the fall and William into Kindergarden.  At the end of the summer I will be a mom with only one kid at home (during school hours) for the first time in 5 years.  It seems unreal.  I don’t know what Scarlett and I will do!

If any of you have some good ideas, fun activities that would entertain a 2 year old, 5 year old and a 6 year old, please share them with me!  We will be spending a lot of time at the beach and perhaps the Santa Barbara Zoo as well.  Perhaps we’ll keep a journal, one for each of the kids, to keep track of what they see during each visit to the beach or zoo or (insert other ideas here).

Christmas at the big Apple.

Last year I took a photo of the kids eyeing the lovely display Apple had at Christmas time.  It was a Christmas tree made from cardboard apps and my kids just loved it.  This year we were going past Apple and who did we see?!  SANTA!  Look who William is skyping!  :) One of these years Verizon will get the iPhone and maybe then Santa will bring me one.

The Relatives

Sometimes you just don’t want your picture taken.  Right?

I love their coffee table book.  I wish I had one for myself!
